Troubleshooting the Cream Roll Machines ACRM-8/ACRM-11

Replacing Mechanical Components

Replacing the Belt of the Cutting Unit

To replace the Belt of the Cutting Unit, follow the steps mentioned below:

Dismantling
  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Using a 5 mm allen key, remove the 8 6mm bolts of the sliding assembly by rotating them anti-clockwise.
  3. Locate the 650mm x 30mm guide bar on the side and dismantle that using a 4mm allen key by removing the 4 5mm bolts locate on the side of them. This should be done by rotating them anti-clockwise
  4. Using a 3mm allen key, remove the 2 4mm allen screws of the limit switch of the motor by rotating them anti-clockwise.
  5. Using an M5 allen key, remove the 2 6mm CSK screws and the M6 allen bolts located on the motor plate to dismantle the motor by rotating them anti-clockwise.
  6. Using a 4mm allen key, remove the 4 6mm button bolts of the supporting guide by rotating them anti-clockwise and keep it aside.
  7. Using 4mm allen key 5mm allen bolt of the roller blade, by rotating it anti-clockwise and keep the assembly aside.
  8. Using a 4mm allen key, remove the 5mm allen bolt of the support plate by rotating it anti-clockwise and keep both of them aside.
  9. Using a 3mm allen key, remove the 5mm CSK bolt of the aluminium belt cam holder by rotating it anti-clockwise and keep it aside.
  10. Using a mallet hammer, remove the shaft and keep the cam aside.
  11. Using a 5mm allen key, remove the 6mm allen bolt by by rotating them anti-clockwise and remove the bed assembly. Place it on a table.
  12. Using a 4mm allen key, remove the 6 6mm bolts located at the side of the belt.
  13. Remove the conveyor plate and the belt and place it aside.
Assembly
  1. Put the new belt in the same belt and the conveyor plate as well.
  2. Put back the 6 6mm bolts which were removed in point 13, on the side of the belt and tighten them using a 4mm allen key by rotating them clockwise. Ensure they are tightened.
  3. Put back the 6mm allen bolt removed in point 12, and tighten it using a 5mm allen key by rotating it clockwise. Ensure it's tightened.
  4. Put back the shaft and cam removed in point 11 in the same position and ensure the position matches perfectly.
  5. Put the aluminium belt cam holder removed in point 9 and the 5mm CSK bolt. Tighten the bolt using a 3mm allen key by rotating it clockwise.
  6. Put back the support plate and the 5mm allen bolt of the support plate, removed in point 8, by rotating it clockwise using a 4mm allen key.
  7. Put back the roller blade and the 5mm allen bolt removed in point 7.
  8. Using a 4mm allen key, tighten the bold tightly by rotating it clockwise.
  9. Put the supporting guides removed in point 6, back into it's original place.
  10. Put the 4 6mm allen bolts back in the same place and tighten then tightly using a 4mm allen key by rotating them clockwise.
  11. Put the motor removed in point 5, back into it's original place and the 2 6mm CSK screws to ensure it matches.
  12. Tighten the M6 allen bolts and 2 6mm CSK screws using an M5 allen key by rotating them clockwise.
  13. Put the limit switch removed in point 4, back into it's original place and both the 4mm allen screws.
  14. Using a 3mm allen key, tighten the screws tightly by rotating them clockwise.
  15. Put the guide bar removed in point 3, back to it's original place.
  16. Using a 4mm allen key, tighten the 4 5mm allen bolts tightly by rotating them clockwise.
  17. Put the sliding assembly back into it's original place and tighten the 8 6mm allen bolts using a 5 mm allen key by rotating them clockwise.
  18. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the Horizontal Belt of the Rolling Unit

To replace the Belt of the Rolling Unit, follow the steps mentioned below:

Dismantling
  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Using a 3mm allen key, loosen the 2 4mm allen bolts to loosen the tensioning the belt.
  3. Using a 4mm allen key , remove both the 5mm allen bolts of the side of the conveyor.
  4. Remove the conveyor.
  5. Using a 4mm allen key, remove the 5mm allen bolts of the side side and top covers by rotating them anti-clockwise and place to a side.
  6. Remove the chain, by using a nose plier. Place it on the side.
  7. Using a 3mm allen key, unscrew the 5mm grub screw of the sprocket by rotating it anti-clockwise. Keep it a side.
  8. Using a 4mm allen key, remove the 5mm allen bolts of the rod located at the inside of the belt by rotating them anti-clockwise. Keep it aside.
  9. Using a 2.5mm allen key remove the 4mm allen bolt of the sprocket of the roller.
  10. Using a mallet hammer, remove the roller.
  11. Remove the belt and place it to a side.
Assembly
  1. Put the new belt in place of the one that was removed.
  2. Put back the roller which was removed in point 9.
  3. Put the 4mm allen bolt of the sprocket of the roller removed in point 9, back in place and tighten it using a 2.5mm allen key by rotating it clockwise.
  4. Put the rod of the belt, removed in point 8, back into the same location in the belt.
  5. Put the 5mm allen bolts of the of the rod back into the same location and using a 4mm allen key tighten them tightly by rotating them clockwise.
  6. Put the sprocket removed in point 7 and put the 5mm grub screw back in place. Tighten it using a 3mm allen key by rotating in clockwise.
  7. Put the chain back into it's place and ensure the link is tightened using a nose plier.
  8. Put the top an side covers, which were removed in point 5, back onto the machine and the 5mm allen bolts in the corresponding holes. Using a 4mm allen key tighten the allen bolts tightly by rotating them clockwise.
  9. Put the conveyor back in place.
  10. Put the 5mm allen bolts, removed in point 3 on the side of the conveyor and tighten them using a 4mm allen key by rotating them clockwise.
  11. Ensure the belt is tightened by rotating the 2 4mm allen bolts removed in point 2 by rotating them clockwise.
  12. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the Horizontal Belt of the Delivery Unit

To replace the Belt of the Rolling Unit, follow the steps mentioned below:

Dismantling
  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Using a 3mm allen key, loosen the 2 4mm allen bolts to loosen the tensioning the belt by rotating them anti-clockwise.
  3. Using a 4mm allen key , remove both the 5mm allen bolts of the side of the conveyor by rotating them anti-clockwise.
  4. Remove the conveyor.
  5. Using a 4mm allen key, remove the 5mm allen bolts of the side side and top covers by rotating them anti-clockwise and place to a side.
  6. Remove the chain, by using a nose plier. Place it on the side.
  7. Using a 3mm allen key, unscrew the 5mm grub screw of the sprocket by rotating it anti-clockwise. Keep it a side.
  8. Using a 4mm allen key, remove the 5mm allen bolts of the rod located at the inside of the belt by rotating them anti-clockwise. Keep it aside.
  9. Using a 2.5mm allen key remove the 4mm allen bolt of the sprocket of the roller.
  10. Using a mallet hammer, remove the roller.
  11. Remove the belt and place it to a side.
Assembly
  1. Put the new belt in place of the one that was removed.
  2. Put back the roller which was removed in point 9.
  3. Put the 4mm allen bolt of the sprocket of the roller removed in point 9, back in place and tighten it using a 2.5mm allen key by rotating it clockwise.
  4. Put the rod of the belt, removed in point 8, back into the same location in the belt.
  5. Put the 5mm allen bolts of the of the rod back into the same location and using a 4mm allen key tighten them tightly by rotating them clockwise.
  6. Put the sprocket removed in point 7 and put the 5mm grub screw back in place. Tighten it using a 3mm allen key by rotating in clockwise.
  7. Put the chain back into it's place and ensure the link is tightened using a nose plier.
  8. Put the top an side covers, which were removed in point 5, back onto the machine and the 5mm allen bolts in the corresponding holes. Using a 4mm allen key tighten the allen bolts tightly by rotating them clockwise.
  9. Put the conveyor back in place.
  10. Put the 5mm allen bolts, removed in point 3 on the side of the conveyor and tighten them using a 4mm allen key by rotating them clockwise.
  11. Ensure the belt is tightened by rotating the 2 4mm allen bolts removed in point 2 by rotating them clockwise.
  12. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the Sprocket

To replace the sprocket, follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Using a 4mm allen key , remove both the 5mm allen bolts of the side of the conveyor by rotating them anti-clockwise.
  3. Using a 5mm allen key, loosen the 6mm allen bolts of the tensioning plate by rotating it anti-clockwise.
  4. Remove the chain, by using a nose plier. Place it on the side.
  5. Using a 3mm allen key, loosen the 5mm grub screw by rotating it anti-clockwise and remove the sprocket. Keep it to a side.
  6. Put the new sprocket in place of the one removed.
  7. Using a 3mm allen key, tighten the 5mm grub screw removed above in point 5 by rotating them clockwise.
  8. Put the chain back onto the sprocket and using a plier tighten the link removed in point 4.
  9. Put the tensioning plate removed in point 3 and the 6mm allen bolts removed. Tighten them by using a 5mm allen key by rotating them clockwise.
  10. Put the 5mm allen bolts removed in point 2, back into the same place in the site of the conveyor and using a 4mm allen key tighten them by rotating them clockwise.
  11. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the Cutting Blade

To replace the cutting blade, follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Using a 11-12mm spanner, remove the 8mm hex bolt by turning it anti-clockwise and place it to a side.
  3. Remove the blade and keep it to a side.
  4. Put the new blade in place of the one removed.
  5. Put the 8mm hex bolt removed in point 1 and tighten it using a 11-12mm spanner by rotating it clockwise.
  6. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the Nylon Cutter

To replace the nylon cutter, follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Rotate the knob of the nylon cutter anti-clockwise and remove the nylon cutter.
  3. Place the nylon cutter to a side.
  4. Replace the nylon cutter with the new one.
  5. Rotate the knob of the nylon cutter clockwise and tighten the nylon cutter. Ensure it's fully tight.
  6. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.

Replacing Electrical Components

Replacing the MPCB

To replace the MPCB, the following need to be done:

Replacing the MPCB of the Automatic Cream Roll Machine ARCM-8/ACRM-11
  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine CRM-8/CRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Open the control panel on the side by removing the lock.
  3. Locate the MPCB that is not working or which has tripped.
  4. Remove the RYB Cables from the MPCB both from the input and output size by using a tester and rotating the screw in the MPCB where the wires are inserted into the MPCB Please note the location of the cables.
  5. Replace the MPCB with the corresponding MPCB in the same location.
  6. The specifications of the 3 MPCBs is 0.46-0.63A.
  7. Once the MPCB is removed, put the new one in place of that.
  8. Put back the input and output wires which were removed in point 4 using a tester. Please ensure the wires are matching the same colour coding.
  9. Close the electrical panel cover and lock the same.
  10. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the Contactor

To replace the contactor, the following need to be done:

Replacing the Contactor of the Automatic Cream Roll Machine ARCM-8 / ACRM-11
  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine CRM-8/CRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Open the control panel on the side by removing the lock.
  3. Locate the contactor that has tripped.
  4. Untrip the contactor that has tripped by pushing on the green switch.
  5. If it continues tripping, the contactor needs to be changed.
  6. Remove the RYB Cables from the contactor both from the input and output size by using a tester and rotating the screw in the contactor where the wires are inserted into the contactor Please note the location of the cables.
  7. Using a tester remove the screws of the contactor and keep the contactor aside.
  8. Replace the conactor with the corresponding contactor in the same location.
  9. The specifications of the 6 contactors are 12A, 24VDC.
  10. Once the contactor is removed, put the new one in place of that.
  11. Put back the input and output wires which were removed in point 4 using a tester. Please ensure the wires are matching the same colour coding.
  12. Close the electrical panel cover and lock the same.
  13. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the SMPS

To replace the SMPS, the following need to be done:

  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine CRM-8/CRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Open the control panel on the side by removing the lock.
  3. Locate the SMPS and remove the connections using a tester.
  4. Remember the correct colour coding and connection numbering.
  5. Remove the screws holding the SMPS to the control panel back plate.
  6. Remove the SMPS and keep it aside.
  7. Put the new SMPS in the same position and tighten the screws removed in point 5.
  8. The Cream Roll Machine CRM-8/CRM-11 has the following SMPS:

  1. Connect the wires back into the same position removed in point 4. Remember the colour coding needs to match.
  2. Close the electrical panel cover and lock the same.
  3. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the Limit Switch

To replace the Limit Switch, the following need to be done:

  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine CRM-8/CRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Open the control panel on the side by removing the lock.
  3. Using a tester, remove the wiring of the limit switch. Remember the colour coding.
  4. Using the same tester removing the limit switch and place it aside.
  5. Put the new limit switch in place of the one removed and ensure the screws are tightened.
  6. Connect the wires back into the same position, keeping in mind the colour coding.
  7. Close the electrical panel cover and lock the same.
  8. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the 5 Channel Relay

To replace the relay, the following need to be done:

  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machine CRM-8/CRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Open the control panel on the side by removing the lock.
  3. Remove the existing relay by unlocking it first and then pulling it out. Keep it to a side.
  4. Insert the new relay and lock it.
  5. Close the electrical panel cover and lock the same.
  6. Plug the Cream Roll Machine ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the Emergency Switch

To change the switch, the following need to be done:

  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machines ACRM-8/ACRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Open the control panel on the side by removing the lock.
  3. Remove the connections for the Emergency switch using a tester. Please note the connections.
  4. Unscrew the switch by loosening the 2 screws on the switch using a tester and remove the emergency switch from the panel by turning it anti-clockwise.# Put the new emergency switch in place of this and rotate it clockwise to ensure it's tight.
  5. The ratings for the emergency switch are 10A 415V with a dia of 22mm.
  6. Connect the new connections in the same colour coding and place it as removed from.
  7. Close the electrical panel cover and lock the same.
  8. Plug the Cream Roll Machines ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
Replacing the Start Stop Switch

To change the Start Stop switch, the following need to be done:

  1. Switch off the Cream Roll Machines ACRM-8/ACRM-11 and unplug the machine and ensure there is no power.
  2. Open the control panel on the side by removing the lock.
  3. Remove the connections for the start stop switch using a tester. Please note the connections.
  4. Unscrew the switch by loosening the 2 screws on the switch using a tester and remove the start stop switch from the panel by turning it anti-clockwise.
  5. Put the new emergency switch in place of this and rotate it clockwise to ensure it's tight.
  6. The ratings for the start stop switch are 10A 415V with a dia of 22mm.
  7. Connect the new connections in the same colour coding and place it as removed from.
  8. Close the electrical panel cover and lock the same.
  9. Plug the Cream Roll Machines ACRM-8/ACRM-11 back into the socket and switch it on.
